In a noteworthy development, Tambov Bread Factory, situated approximately 400 kilometers (250 miles) to the south of Moscow, has expanded its production capabilities beyond baked goods. Traditionally known for producing 30 tonnes of bread in 60 diverse varieties, the factory has recently pivoted its operations. As reported by Russia-1, a state-owned television channel, the factory’s CEO, Alexander Rudik, received a request from the Russian military last year to repurpose his assembly line. Presently, the bakery is dedicated to assembling an impressive 250 military drones each month. This transformation underscores Russia’s evolving priorities, which are increasingly reflecting its involvement in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
