Swift to Begin Japanese Leg of Tour
According to People, Taylor Swift will immediately fly overseas following the Grammy Awards to start the Japanese leg of her tour. The tour in Japan will commence on Wednesday, February 7 and conclude on the 10th.
Back-to-Back Shows in Japan
During her time in Japan, Swift will be performing four consecutive shows. This marks the beginning of her tour, which will later continue in Australia, Asia, and Europe throughout the summer. Some dates in the U.S. and Canada are also scheduled for the fall.
Six Grammy Nominations
Swift has received six Grammy nominations, including album of the year, best pop vocal album, best pop solo performance, song of the year, record of the year, and best pop duo/group performance for her remix of “Karma” with Ice Spice.
Potential History-Making Win
A victory in the album of the year category for her album “Midnights” would make Swift the first artist to win the award four times.
Supportive Friends
Although she will be flying solo at the ceremony, Swift won’t be alone. She will be seated next to her friend and “Snow on the Beach” collaborator, Lana Del Rey, as shown in a seating chart shared on CBS’ TikTok.
Possible Announcement at the Grammys
Fans have speculated that Swift may have a significant announcement planned for the evening. This speculation arose when she changed her profile pictures on social media from a color image from “Midnights” to a black and white version. Some believe this could signal the release of the re-recorded version of her album “Reputation.”
Swift’s busy schedule will also include a trip from Tokyo to Las Vegas to support her boyfriend, Kelce, who will be playing in the Super Bowl.
