The actor revealed that at one point, he spent about six months using an inflatable boat as a multi-functional piece of furniture, serving as his couch, bed, and dining table.
In an interview with Architectural Digest, Pattinson explained, “There was a time when the only piece of furniture I had for about six months was an inflatable boat that would double as my couch, bed, and dining table. I loved it very much but it caused a lot of back problems.”
However, it seems that Pattinson’s unconventional furniture journey didn’t end there. The actor has now ventured into furniture design, collaborating with designer Nicole Gordon to create his dream couch. This unique sofa features two rounded arms that extend outward, resembling giant earlobes. It’s covered in white linen velvet and has a pink onyx base that matches drink trays integrated into the arms.
Pattinson’s design inspiration stemmed from his sketches of furniture that aimed to encourage playful and informal interactions among people. His venture into furniture design showcases his creative spirit beyond the realm of acting.
