Judge reveals medical emergency on social media
The world was stunned last week when it was revealed that Julianne Hough, judge of “Dancing with the Stars,” required immediate medical attention after a show in Washington, D.C. Hough’s husband, Erbert, took to social media to share the news with their fans and express their gratitude for the outpouring of support.
A Life-Changing Time
In a heartfelt post, Hough wrote, “The kindness that we’ve been shown in this incredibly unfathomable, and life-changing time is immeasurable.” He went on to express his gratitude for the offers of assistance that have poured in, adding, “Our hope is that as a family, we can somehow and someway pay it forward.”
A Medical Emergency
Erbert, a talented dancer herself, became “disoriented” after her performance and had to be hospitalized. It was later discovered that she had suffered from a cranial hematoma caused by a burst blood vessel. The severity of her condition required an emergency craniectomy.
An intracranial hematoma, as explained by the Mayo Clinic, is a collection of blood within the skull resulting from a burst blood vessel in the brain.
Hough’s representatives have not yet responded to requests for comment.
Support from Fellow Celebrities
The news of Erbert’s health scare has prompted an outpouring of support from friends and fellow celebrities. Mira Sorvino expressed her relief at hearing about Erbert’s recovery and sent love to the couple’s family. Candace Cameron Bure simply posted a series of praying hands emojis, while Jennifer Love Hewitt admitted to continuously praying for Erbert since learning about her condition.
A Dancer with a Record
Julianne Hough, a talented dancer and choreographer, is a three-time winner of “Dancing with the Stars” and holds the record for the most wins as a professional dancer on the show. Throughout her career, she has amassed an impressive collection of six mirrorball trophies.
Hough joined “Dancing with the Stars” as a celebrity judge during the 29th season, bringing her expertise and experience to the panel.
A Love Story
Hough and Erbert’s love story began in 2015 when they met on the set of “Dancing with the Stars.” After dating for several years, the couple tied the knot in August. They were set to embark on their “Symphony of Dance” tour before the medical emergency put their plans on hold.
Our thoughts and well-wishes go out to Julianne Hough and her husband Erbert as they navigate this challenging time.
