Woman’s Shop Targeted in Lawsuit
A fan of country music star Luke Combs, Nicol Harness of Tampa, recently found herself caught in a legal battle when her shop was included in a lawsuit targeting the illegal sale of merchandise using his image and likeness.
Unaware and Shocked
Harness, who had only sold 18 Luke Combs-themed Tumblers, was completely unaware of the lawsuit until it was too late. According to reports, the lawsuit was served to her via email and ended up in her spam mailbox. Before she had a chance to realize what was happening, a judge had already ruled in Combs’ favor, demanding that Harness pay him $250,000 and all future sales from her shop go to him until the debt was cleared.
Heartfelt Apology and Support
Upon learning of the situation, Luke Combs expressed deep regret and offered a sincere apology to Harness. He admitted that he employs a company to combat large corporations involved in illegal businesses but was shocked to learn that this had affected an innocent fan.
Combs reached out to Harness personally, extending his apologies and offering support. He acknowledged that the incident had caused immense distress for Harness, especially during the holiday season, and emphasized that no fan should ever have to go through such an ordeal.
Going the Extra Mile
To make amends, Combs revealed that he plans to create a special tumbler to sell on his website, with all proceeds going towards helping Harness cover her medical bills. Additionally, Combs has invited Harness and her family to one of his shows this year, where he hopes to meet her in person, give her a hug, and apologize face-to-face.
Combs wants his fans to know that he is far from the kind of person implied by this incident. He expressed his love and gratitude for his supporters and promised to keep them updated on the situation.
