Braugher’s talent shone again in “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” where he starred alongside Andy Samberg for the show’s eight-season run from 2013 to 2021. His portrayal of Capt. Ray Holt earned him two Critics’ Choice awards for best supporting actor in a comedy series and four Emmy nominations.
Recognition in Film
Braugher’s film career began with his debut in the 1989 war drama “Glory,” alongside Morgan Freeman and Matthew Broderick. He went on to work with Spike Lee in the 1996 film “Get on the Bus,” exploring the experiences of African-American men during the Million Man March.
