Police Find Magic Mushrooms during Routine Traffic Stop
During a routine traffic stop, actor Darius Rucker was arrested after police discovered a jar of un-stamped pills with a strong odor of marijuana. Rucker, known for his roles in various films and TV shows, handed over a small marijuana blunt to the officers before they proceeded to search him.
Identification of the Unmarked Pills
Initially, Rucker was released pending identification of the mysterious pills. However, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation later confirmed that the pills were psilocybin, commonly referred to as magic mushrooms.
Arrest Warrant and Surrender
An arrest warrant was issued in December for Rucker, leading to his voluntary surrender to the authorities on Thursday. According to Fox News Digital, the actor has been charged with two counts of simple possession/casual exchange of a controlled substance, as well as one count of violating the state’s vehicle registration law.
Cooperation and Legal Statement
