Rizzo Opens Up About Relationship with Saget’s Daughters
Actress Caitlin Rizzo, known for her role in the hit series ‘Full House’, recently revealed that it was important to her to have the blessing of Bob Saget’s daughters before going public with their relationship. Rizzo shared that she wanted to ensure their support and love, as they knew Saget best.
Speaking to E! News, Rizzo expressed, “It took a while to get to the point where I’m like, ‘OK, I think [Bob would] be happy with it.’ Even though it’s something that you don’t think you need permission for, it meant everything to me to have their blessing and just knowing that they want me to be happy and that they love me.”
She further emphasized the significance of their approval, stating, “And the two of them saying that Bob would want me to be happy meant everything because they’re his kids. They knew him best. I’d love to think that Bob would want me to be happy, too, but to hear it from them is just a totally different level. And it meant the world just to hear, ‘Hey, we trust you. We love you. We know you’re going to do what’s right, and we want you to be happy.’ To continually have their support – I couldn’t ask for a greater gift.”
‘Full House’ Cast Honors Saget on Second Anniversary of His Death
Caitlin Rizzo and the cast of ‘Full House’ joined together to pay tribute to the late comedian Bob Saget on the two-year anniversary of his sudden passing. The hit show, where Saget gained immense popularity, holds a special place in their hearts.
Rizzo took to Instagram to express her gratitude for having shared her life with Saget, writing, “I will forever be grateful that I got to share life with this extraordinary person for 6 years. What a blessing. And grateful I can look back on endless memories and photos and videos with smiles, laughter, and yes… still tears. It is such a gift I was able to know his complete and all encompassing love and heart.”
As part of the tribute, John Stamos, who also starred in ‘Full House’, hosted a virtual reunion for the cast. The tight-knit group considers themselves family and stays in constant contact.
Stamos shared his thoughts on the reunion, saying, “We’re all close friends. We keep in contact, like, constantly. I always just get amused when [the media calls] them reunions because I’m like, ‘We’re literally family hanging out.’ But sometimes we do that publicly.”
The cast, including Rizzo and Candace Cameron Bure, intend to continue honoring Saget’s memory and keeping it alive. Bure expressed, “It’s always going to be a special but hard day in our lives. We’re always going to honor Bob for the rest of our lives and probably together and probably publicly because we love him so much and want to keep his memory alive. We’re family through and through.”
