Derry, Northern Ireland’s second-largest city, hosted a four-day Halloween festival that drew over 100,000 visitors, making it Europe’s largest celebration of the ancient rite, according to the event’s organizers.
The medieval walled city was transformed into a hauntingly atmospheric setting, featuring street illuminations, aerial performances, pyrotechnics, and live music. Spooks and spirits also joined in the festivities, creating an air of magic and mischief that thrilled revelers of all ages.
Despite strong winds causing the cancellation of a coordinated drone show on November 30th, one visitor noted that the festival “seems to be getting bigger every year, so it’s very enjoyable.”
