Three Inmates on the Run
The Royal Grenada Police Force is on high alert after three inmates managed to escape custody in Grenada. Ron Mitchell, Trevon Robertson, and Abita Stanislaus are believed to have stolen a yacht and reportedly killed two passengers on board, suspected to be American citizens.
Manhunt and Investigation Underway
The fugitives were initially arrested in December on charges including robbery with violence and rape. After their escape, the authorities believe they fled to St. Vincent on a stolen boat. The police forces of both Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines are actively searching for them.
New Developments
The Royal Grenada Police Force shared on Facebook that evidence suggests the two occupants of the stolen yacht may have been fatally attacked by the escaped inmates. The investigation is in its early stages, with a team of senior investigators and forensic specialists dispatched to St. Vincent to gather more information.
Another Escape
In a separate incident, another suspect, Levon Date, fled while attending court and is now wanted by the authorities. Date is charged in connection to the 2023 killing of Canadian citizen Wayne Smart. The police are intensifying efforts to locate and apprehend Date.
