Allegations of Sexual Assault and Discrimination
Asta Jonasson, a former employee of Vin Diesel’s production company, One Race Productions, has filed a lawsuit accusing Diesel of sexual assault and wrongful termination. According to documents obtained by Fox News Digital, Jonasson claims that Diesel forcibly grabbed her, groped her breasts, and kissed her at a hotel suite in Atlanta. The lawsuit also alleges that Diesel ignored Jonasson’s clear statements of non-consent.
Claims Against Diesel and One Race Productions
In the lawsuit, Jonasson accuses Diesel’s sister, Samantha Vincent, and their production company, One Race Productions, of discrimination and wrongful termination. Jonasson states that she was fired only after the sexual assault took place, suggesting that the termination was a cover-up. She claims that Vincent called her hours after the alleged assault and terminated her employment, without taking any action to protect her from further assaults or hold Diesel accountable for his actions.
Response and Legal Action
Diesel’s representatives have not yet responded to the allegations. However, Jonasson’s lawyer, Claire-Lise Kutlay of Greenberg Gross, stated that they are proud to represent Jonasson and hold Diesel and those involved accountable for the alleged sexual assault. Kutlay emphasizes that the law exists to protect those who have been wronged, regardless of the defendant’s power or fame. She believes that sexual harassment in the workplace will only stop if powerful individuals are held accountable.
Seeking Damages and Accountability
Jonasson is seeking damages for lost wages and emotional distress. Additionally, she is requesting punitive and exemplary damages to punish the defendants and deter them from engaging in such conduct in the future. Jonasson’s lawsuit aims to shed light on the issue of sexual assault in the workplace and hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
