Only 8-Year-Old Survivor of Horrific Crash
A devastating bus accident in South Africa has left 45 people dead after the vehicle plummeted more than 150 feet off a bridge. The tragic incident occurred as the bus was en route from Botswana to an Easter festival at a church in Moria, Limpopo province.
Officials reported that the driver lost control on the bridge, crashing through barriers before the fatal fall onto a rocky surface. Despite ongoing rescue efforts, many victims were unidentifiable due to burns or being trapped in the wreckage.
The lone survivor, an 8-year-old girl, miraculously lived through the ordeal and is receiving medical care at a nearby hospital. Details about her condition have not been disclosed.
South Africa’s Minister of Transport, Sindisiwe Chikunga, expressed deep condolences to the affected families and emphasized the importance of safe driving practices during holiday periods. The tragedy serves as a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the necessity for vigilance on the roads.
