SURIVOR WEEK 10 RECAP
April 25, 2009
Previously on Survivor?
The slack jawed alliance hooked their chariot to the dragon slayer to vote off Brendan (who left with the HII in his pocket). This left Sierra twisting in the wind. She tells Coach that she had no intention of writing his name down. Coach says she wanted to assuage her guilt, massage it to make herself feel rationalized, justified inside. That?s what we do when we make poor decisions. In love and war it?s kill or be killed. You pitted yourself against me. Who deserves to go next?
And the drums begin to play?
Day 25 dawns with Coach who came to the water to celebrate victory over Brendan. He says a feeling of peace came over him. For him to pit himself against someone who is younger, faster and maybe stronger (although he quickly added that he benches 300 and that is just his ego) to defeat someone like that at this stage of the game is the Pi?ce de r?sistance. The dragon slayer has vanquished the dragon (insert primal scream) and victory is mine!
Sierra tells Deb and Tyson she went with Brendan because he had the idol. Tyson says the most powerful thing is friends. Sierra says yesterday she was on top of the game and today she is the bottom of the food chain.
Tyson says she is of no worth. Sure her parents probably love her. Can?t imagine her boyfriend is that cool. She wasn?t the mastermind. She?s not smart enough.
At reward challenge they are in two tribes of 4 and they are to retrieve puzzle boards, the line the holes up to reveal vowels that they then arrange into words to solve the puzzle. Wanna know what they are playing for?
Winning tribe goes on feast in village where the locals will do a Capoeira martial arts dance and send someone to exile. JT, Errin, Tyson and Deb make quick work of the puzzles leaving the others in the dust. And they send Stephen to exile. Jeff takes the chance to jab at Coach saying you keep missing out on all these nice rewards. Guess all that life experience is not helping you out here. Coach says he didn?t line up boards like this in the Amazon. Hahahahhaha?wait. Remember when Brendan said that no one had ever thrown metal balls to break tiles and Coach said he had? What an ass.
On the reward the group eats like savages and finally after 25 days we catch a glimpse of Deb?s personality. I loved hearing the tears in her voice as she described missing the kids she works with. The locals pull them into the dance and Errin says, “I?m like the kid that eats pizza and candy and then goes in the play land balls and can?t understand why they throw up. Noticed a lot more of Errin?s personality since the merge as well. She?s coming out of her shell more.
Stephen gets clue #7 and says thank God I am not on reward when I get no one around and bleak surrounds for a couple of days.
Sierra tells Deb that everyone has lied and that they are going to do it to her too. Errin as much as she dislikes Sierra says she is telling the truth.
Sierra goes to Coach again and asks for another chance. Coach says he?s like to give her another chance but probably won?t. The samurai warrior if he dishonored himself would fall on his sword.
At Immunity they play shuffle board in the rain. The closest to the X wins but if they are confident they can eat pizza instead. Coach, JT and Stephen opt to eat instead. Tyson gets 2 chips close but Sierra knocks them out of the way to take the lead with only Deb left. Sierra does what Coach called a little dance (she pumped her fists a couple of times) and he says he screwed up and should have competed. Deb steps up and knocks Sierra?s chip off the X and wins.
Back at camp, Errin, Stephen and Taj discuss getting rid of Tyson since he doesn?t have immunity. Taj says talk to JT and tell me what to do. JT and Stephen talk. Stephen says it happens every season that someone goes on a run of immunity wins, let?s make it you. JT grins.
Coach goes to JT to recap that Sierra going is a no-brainer. His priorities to go to 5 with warrior alliance. JT gives his word then says it would crush Coach if he goes against alliance.
At TC Sierra says it?s probably me so no blindside tonight.
Jeff- Tyson concerned or comfortable?
Tyson- aligned with people I trust. When you can?t win immunity yourself it?s nice to see someone you love win.
Jeff- JT hard to hear he?s glad Deb won?
Tyson (interrupting) I said someone I love won. Deb?s not the only one. I love Deb, Coach, JT, Stephen, Taj, Errin and Brendan.
Jeff- so your vote is clear for Sierra. Sierra you think that they are being nice in telling you to get your vote?
Sierra- no. She starts talking and Tyson offers to explain and she says I don?t need you to explain.
Jeff- what?s going on between you two?
Sierra-he?s a smart ass who thinks he is funny
Tyson- I gave her 5 minutes when she stopped talking, I stopped listening.
Jeff-Coach why not vote out Tyson?
Coach- I said from the beginning I wanted to walk path of noble warrior (Taj does hysterical cross eyed face while Stephen rolls his eyes) with competition to pit myself against
Jeff- then you voted out Brendan? (JT laughs)
Coach- I will explain
Jeff-I?m sure you will
Coach- he pitted himself against me (um. No. you are the one who couldn?t handle him being leader and you are the one who lied to him about who to vote for)
Jeff-that?s what you wanted
Coach-exactly and I won (Jeff flashes those beautiful dimples, chuckles and shakes his head) I outsmarted him and at the moment, sorry to say, I am out leading him. With the others we will battle in honorable fashion if I give them my word I won?t go back.
Jeff- an honorable battle is as long as you both agree on how to play?
Coach- I will be ravenous wolf for anybody that wants to go head to head and I will cut them off at the knees with no remorse.
As votes are cast Coach rooster struts past Brendan. Sierra?s name is read first and then Tyson?s. The second and third Sierra votes are read as Coach and Tyson exchange arrogant smiles and laughs. The second Tyson vote pulls the corners of his mouth down a little. The third Tyson vote makes him look around a bit, Sierra sits up a little and Coach bore holes in Jeff with his eyes. The fourth Tyson vote makes him sit up and Coach shoot daggers at the ballot box. The last vote makes Tyson?s head explode, Sierra breathe a sigh of relief and Coach?.well?it?s not gonna be pretty folks.
Brendan claps as the tribe exits stage left.
Previews show Coach and Deb planning new alliance of old Timbira members. Coach says to Sierra “you said you would be loyal”. Sierra says and you wrote down my name last night.
Coach- “I?m going to ask you again Sierra. Where?s your loyalty.
While I am not a huge Sierra fan I have to say that she was bullied and talked down to for the 3 days this episode covered. I hope that the others see how they talk about her and realize how disgusting they were. I give my kudos to Sierra this week for her grace under pressure.
Until the drums begin to play again.

Survivor Week 9 Recap
April 19, 2009

By: cantvotemeoff
When we last saw our Survivors, Coach and Tyson were reeling from not getting to vote off Brendan due to Joe needing to be medi-vacced. A cloud hovers over the camp. In order to refocus the attention on him Coach tells them a true life story. Gather around children?.you see there was this warrior named Benjamin who was dropped by military helicopter (not hard enough for my standards) into the Amazon in Peru. Somehow he had an 18 foot kayak with him at the same time. One morning he paddled this 18 foot kayak (by himself) and felt as if he was being watched. He saw indigenous people watching him from the banks with the bows and arrows drawn. They dragged him from the boat and tied his feet together with ropes and tied him to a pole. They then beat him for an undetermined amount of time as he kept losing consciousness. He (in his beaten state) realized they were going to kill him so he managed to break free from the ropes, slip out the back and make his way to the kayak that they confidently left tied close to the water. He paddled so hard that his hands were bleeding. But our warrior escaped the pygmies.
Brendan asked how much it costs for a military drop from helicopter. Coach said he pulled strings and it was free?matter of fact National Geographic magazine wanted to go along to chronicle the trip but Coach said ?No. This trip is all about me.? Well, duh. Isn?t everything?

It’s been so long since we took the time,
No one’s to blame, I know time flies so quickly.
But when I see you, darling,
It’s like we both are falling in love again,
It’ll be just like starting over,
Starting over.
Jalapao returns to camp fresh (not so fresh to us) from voting off Spencer. JT says Spencer had to go because of how badly he did in the challenge?one of those quotes that you wonder why they put that in unless it foreshadows future events?
Sydney launches into ?I?m next if we lose? talk. Joe assures her that he would make sure she makes the merge?admitting in tree confessional that he has a ?little thing? for her. I?m assuming he means a crush although one never knows. He guarantees her that she will make the merge?always a bad sign.
Two weeks of waiting?
Zero Coach sightings, zero Coach pep talks, Zero Coach metaphors
Survivor fans around the world dance wildly

News - Real Housewives’ Countess Separating From Husband | Usmagazine.com
April 2, 2009
The Real Housewives of New York City star Countess Luann de Lesseps has split from her husband, Count de Lesseps.
According to the New York Post, they decided to separate after she “got wind he was seeing somebody and he didn’t answer her when she called. He finally sent her an e-mail saying he was with an Ethiopian woman in Geneva and he was serious with her.”
What’s more, sources tell the Post the pair — who have two children — just celebrated their 16th anniversary on March 16.
“Luann was blindsided. She was just devastated,” the Post quotes a pal as saying. “They have basically lived apart for many years — he lives in Europe and comes and goes as he pleases, but she never thought this would happen.”
